Light and colourful embroidery will be more prone to stain more than darker thread colours. To remove the stain as much as possible, clean it straight away by gently rubbing a tepid wet washcloth with a small amount of clear soap over the embroidery in the direction on the stitching. Do not rub the embroidery too hard or in a different direction as this can damage the surface of the embroidery.
